i know how we can fix all the problems,,,1)every working person pays 15% in taxes,,,even the people making 6+ digits a year,,,,2) close the tax loop holes 3) still file your taxes every year but the only people that would get money back would be the people making 50,000 or less a year 4)all the rich people pay the 15%,,file returns,,but get nothing back,, 5)which means no more deducting dinners,,planes,,boat,,massages,,and all the other stuff that they get away with deducting,,,in other words,,,everyone pays their fair share,,6)2 years max on welfare,,,now this would be a toughy,,since probably most of those cases has ss numbers for each pet,,, 7)send ever dang none american back to where the came from,,,and if they come back shoot them,, 8) stop giving inmates ss checks and welfare,,, 9) finally,,,,,STOP GIVING THOSE MONEY SPONGE BANKS MONEY when they have billions of dollars in assets,,,i could add more here,,,ok,,now,,,do i have your alls votes????????

Why dont you just go to a flat tax. Also you want to send all non Americans back...?? That would mean most all of us would be sent back and we would have to give the country back to the Indians.

I thought you said ,everyone pays their fair share yet in the end only those making over $50,000 really pay.

Funny thing is every single deduction in the US tax code is available to any American Taxpayer THAT CAN USE IT.

For example take the child tax credit, every Taxpayer can use it IF THEY HAVE A CHILD UNDER 18 AND CLAIM THE CHILD.

To a parent that would be a DEDUCTION.

I can't use it because I don't have a child under 18 so to me that is a LOOPHOLE so they will pay LESS taxes than me.

See, one man's deduction is another man's loophole.

Would you need a $200,000,000 inaugaration? The more I've thought of that today the madder I get. Some one mentioned on here I believe, business as usual, people out of work and the gov spending that kinda money. I know the prez of this country should enjoy perks, but....

it would be $200.00 inauguration for me,,,there is so much over spending in the US that it isn't funny,,,all this flying around on air force 1,,,,really i think they should make any government official pay for their own transportation,,,the tax payers shouldn't have to pay for the luxury for them,,,when we have to limit our travels,,,,as far as the un americans what i was referring to was sending them back south over the border,,,,,there is way to many foreigners that come over here and open business while they are still on a green card,,,like motels, hotels, and gas stations,,,i know i might be out of line here,,,but this is the way i look at it,,,,

I would think that the bill for Air Force one is 100's of millions of dollars a year, maybe even bilions, when you consider what it cost to buy a 747, what it cost to fuel it, maintain, pay staff, etc, etc. You really think a pres should have to pay 100's of millions of dollars to conduct the nations business? Even if they had that kind of money, and I don't think a US Pres ever has, you would never get anybody to be Pres if they had to pay all their expenses.

the fed income tax is unconstitutional. if i were pres i would end the fed income tax. the only income tax that would then be installed would be an apportioned tax if needed. your money would not be taken from you and done with as pleased like the way it is now.

all benefits to illegals seize unless the gov't has a surplus in the budget. nothing wrong with a little good will, but no free rides here!

I have as much faith in you being a good president as I have in you properly using a comma.

When Bush was inaguarated the liberal media said they could have immunized 44 million kids for what it cost. I bet they dont say anything about the cost of BHO' coronation.

they will say how good this party/show boating was for the country, worth every million. this was a historic day alright, the day we spent a record amount of money for dinner and a show.

Small price to pay to live in the greatest country in the world. And the good thing is if you don't think so feel free to move to any other country

I'm telling you guys, the fair tax is the way to go. I have researched it and it is valid. Don't listen to the talking points the politicians put out there, they use the tax system to but votes.
In a nutshell, the fair tax would attract investment in US business and create jobs, make EVERYONE participate equally. It would fund a broken social security and medicare system and, most importantly, not burden our children & grand children with bailing us out.
It was recently acknowleged that if we had implemented the fair tax two years ago we would have bypassed this whole economic downturn, despite all the stupid mortage loans, etc.

The really cool thing about this is, everyone in the US that buys something pays a little tax. That includes the tons of tourists we have every year (a substantial amount) plus illegals, etc. That is actually the way a lot of European countries do it and it works.

I could go on but will let it rest for now. Just think about it.

RR~

Isn't the FairTax basically a sales tax on new items? I don't know that much about it but I do know that everyone (including illegals, tourists, etc.) would pay their share. And there would be no need for an IRS. I like that part. What would concern me is that a part of my retirement (probably a lot of folks) is invested in Government Bonds, which had a lower yield than regular bonds but the big benefit was that they were tax free. The Gov't will have to up the yield on their bonds if they start using the FairTax bor a lot of folks will be pretty mad that they have been deceived.

with repeat tools stepping up to the plate we are all losers my friend.

and as far as a small price to pay to live in this great nation... that is what we fought the king over my friend. tyranny in the form of taxation.

we pay more taxes now than we did with the king. lucky for our ancestors they had some kahunas.
