Anyone have issues with Insight Cable or is it just me? I've only called in a couple of times and always end up feeling like I've gotten the shaft. Most recently, I was having trouble with a defective remote control so I asked them to "upgrade" my cable box to a HD version. They were going to have to make a service call anyway so I thought that the time would be right. I was told that I needed a HDMI cable that they could supply ($10); additional charge for the new box ($11/month) and a one time upgrade fee ($10). I wasn't happy but I agreed. When the contractor arrived, he told me that Insight had forgotten to give him the HDMI cable but he happened to have one "in his personal stock" that he would give he for a $10 tip and remove it from the bill. He then had problems getting the box to work, blamed my wiring and replaced a wire in my house that I know was good. He eventually gave up and said a supervisor would give me a call. I waited several hours and finally called Insight, found out it was an area issue but a call back would have been nice. Upon taking the dog out I saw that he left the cable box open and the lid in my side yard. I closed it up for them. Problems went away for 1 day and returned yesterday. I again called Insight and reported problem. First available appointment is Wednesday. Due to all of the issues I asked them to confirm that the HDMI cable was removed from my bill. The HDMI cable was removed but I was charged a $25 service charge instead of the $10 quoted. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that they were busy and would call me right back... I'm still waiting

that sucks...I've never had any problems with them and I've had insight for two years. Is the tech that showed up working for Insight or contracted by insight. I know that they got so busy lately that have been contracting out some work to smaller outfits. Everytime I have moved(3 times in past 2 years) they have been great and I have had no problems.

The tech was a contractor. Glad to hear that you have not had problems- guess it's just me:o

I had to leave them when I had several of their techs/customer service reps tell me their DVR boxes were "junk". We went through 4 DVR boxes and all would become falsely full until you deleted one 1/2 show, they it would be 8% or something stupid. Switched to Dish Network and LOVE it. I refuse to have Insight anything.
