I copied this from another board & had to share.

I was talking to the 8 year-old daughter of a friend of mine, and she said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President, what's the first thing you would do?'

She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.'

'Wow - what a worthy goal,' I told her. 'But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the grass, pull weeds, and rake my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50
to use toward food or a new house.'

She thought that over for a few seconds, 'cause after all she's only 8.

And while her Mom glared at me, she looked me straight in the eye and asked, 'Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work himself, and you can just pay him the $50?'

And I said, 'Welcome to the Republican Party.'

We were in Orlando, Fl a couple weeks ago and there was a man standing at an intersection with a sign asking for money we had saw him there for a couple of days.

My 9 year old son looked at him, read the sign and said. "Dad, instead of standing there wanting free money, why doesn't he stand behind the counter at McDonald's and get money?" (He thinks McDonalds would be the ultimate job)

I said, " Welcome to the Republican Party son."

My wife almost fail out of the car laughing.

I posted that joke up on a local message board back before the election... Boy, they crawled out of the wood works to bash me, telling me that I should be ashamed to push my political views off onto someone else's child........ I had in the title of the thread: Political Joke I would simply reply to them, no wonder Republicans think Democrats are uneducated. LOL That would just rile them up some more........ Finally, I had to just tell them to read the TITLE, it clearly said, "JOKE". LOL Such thin skin on some people.

Good joke! :)

I'm a Republican, because not everyone can be on Welfare.
