I'm looking at a Ruger .243 in all weather, stainless.
Anybody have any experience with them?

NO clue on the ruger, But I had a remington 700 .243 that I just sold and that thing was a great gun it shot real tight groups at 100 yards. I dropped a 6pt with it last year and the deer went about 10 yards. Man I regret selling it.If your looking for one and its a good deal I would say don't pass it up.

I have no experience with the Ruger, but alot of experience with an A-Bolt .243. That is a great caliber. Got to love black & silver. :D

I've shot a stainless ruger .243 quite a bit, and i also had a .270 just like it......

they have the worst trigger i've ever felt to be honest.. both of them were over 6#. as far as their shooting, they shot alright.. nothing extra but were a solid performer, a good trigger would have helped that out a lot.

if i were in the game for a .243, stainless, look at the tikka t3's, as well as the savage line.. both will shoot better than the ruger from my experience, and are in the same price range

notice i said "had"

I have a Ruger 77 Mark II Stainless all weather in 300 win mag. The only thing I dont like about it is the caliber. 300 win mag is a thumper in this light weight rifle.

I have had two other Ruger 77 one in 243 the other was a heavy barrel varment rifle in 223. Both were solid rifles but they have been long sense traded off, as I now prefer remington.

Ruger rifles are tuff and have the much desired claw extarctor. The Scope ring mounting is second to none and I wish remington would use it.

Many people like 243, but I would pick either a 308 or 7mm-08 instead.

I borrowed a M77 in 243 for my brother to deer hunt with. I wished I had bought it(stupid me) It had had a trigger job done so it took the stiffnes out of it and with handloads it would shoot SUB MOA groups at 100 yrds.

My wifes got one but she don't hunt anymore so we are giving it to my son who turns five tomorrow. Ive killed several deer with it and my biggest buck at 200 pounds on the hoof. It is a Ruger M-77 stainless with black synthetic stock in 243. The only knock is it shines too much in the sun light. They should have put a dull finish on it.

I have one in .270 that has had a trigger swap done on it. Great gun.
