looks good....that forearm looks different.....i like the way it breaks down though.....the gas operating system looks alot like the one in my SX2...maybe since browning owns winchester they "borrowed" some of their technology.......good looking gun though....browning always seem to make good quality guns..let us know if you get one and how you like it...

I don't know if I will get one or not. My Xtrema 2 is in the shop and I am starting to lust after other guns.:o The longer it's gone the more I want a different waterfowl gun.

Nope, at least I don't think so. The press release said it would be out early 2009 but I read somewhere else that it could be August before they are in stores.

I'm not wild about the synthetics and the appearance but anything that makes autoloaders run better is an improvement.

I hope not August.

I have had a Beretta O/U for 30yrs. Last year I bought a new Cynergy. I really love it. I am considering buying a second one in 20ga. I need to find out if I can just buy another barrel or do I have to buy a second gun ?

I have also owned Beretta autoloaders. They were really nice guns but after owning O/U's for so long I hated the cleaning hassles. This new Browning might entice me back to the autoloader. I can't wait to see it.

The one thing that I loved so much about the Beretta was the adjustability for either a LH or RH shooter. 98% of Beretta O/U's are cast for a RH shooter.

WHY do you not like the black composites ? The water won't warp them and they don't dent if you tough the blind with them.

Properly finished walnut won't warp either and it looks a whole lot better. Scratches and dents better not bother you in the grouse woods or you won't be hunting long.

I like a pretty piece of wood. Call me a traditionalist.

SX3s look dead like a Browning auto...I took two apart side by side at work once just to see how close they looked. And by the way this Browning looks pretty nice, I will stick with my extrema 2, with all the hell i have put that thing through without one missfire, jam, or missfeed, I'll stick with what works...until it doesn't

That's why I like walnut and a bottle of Tru-oil. Don't have to worry bout the dents and scratches.

A pretty gun without signs of use is like a Jeep with no mud under the fenders. Not much use to me unless it gets used.

HA ! good one Trust me. OR a woodstove under the hood. :D

BUT It just kills me to see a beautiful piece of Walnut scratched or dented. Mother Nature worked soooo hard to make it pretty and I hate to see it damaged. ;)
