i watch them... and enjoy most of them.... but man you see some crazy different ideas on things..
you'll see a guy shoot a buck at 3:40, you'll see him fall on camera, and then a couple hours later, they find him in the dark like they had no idea he was there, and they walk up poking them with their rifle... shewww

and the other night i watched a guy hunting columbian whitetail and he scared off 3 different bucks because he didn't get a shell in his chamber and each time he'd start working that loud bolt the deer would be gone....

do you guys never walk around the woods with a shell in the chamber? or am i the only one on this too? lol only time i don't have a shell n the chamber is on the atv or while i'm going up the tree...... or down.

I would pay money to see a Carter Co. Ky, Outdoor Show after all the stories you have told here. You're right, people have no idea what it's like there. Driving around in cars that were found in a creek is good stuff. You need your own reality show.:D

:DThat's hilarious! You know if you work the bolt while you're up a tree in Carter Co. you're likely to scare a panther with a backpack full of found pot strapped to its back:D................

You reckon the pot washed out of the junk car?:D

I watch some shows, we just have to come to grips that all these shows are just a 30 minute infomerical. Enjoy the scenery and the animals, they are what they are.

You have no idea........ Regardless of cat stories, the way people live around here is amazing to say the least...... less than 5 miles from here i can show you houses people make by pulling 4 or 5 single wide trailers together, i mean touching, and then build a big barn style roof over all of them..... there are also quite a few people around here that can't hardly speak english, i mean they grew up here but never had any kind of education, you really have to work with them to try to understand what they mean..........

i know that stuff like that is hard to believe for people who's never been in those situations and grew up around people like that, but thats how it is.....

yeahhhhhh.......... each year every company has made the newest greatest call, knife, shell, whatever..... and they'll just change the color of something and say it's the best ever.. which is what their trying to do is sell stuff..

like you said, watch it for the animals and scenery and let the rest be what it is

I have a uncle and cousin who wait till they see one until they put a bullet in the chamber. I dont agree with it. I watched that show too. Everytime he would put the bolt in the deer would dart.

that was nuts.. i mean if your that afraid your gun will go off you should be that scared to step outside out of fear of a tree limb falling off and killing your or getting in a car..

When hunting from tree stands for whitetail or black bears I already have a shell in the chamber with safety on. When I have hunted mulies, elk, or other western big game I do not have a shell in the chamber. With all the climbing and hiking involved in western hunting you have more probablity for the safety to disengage or a fall can cause an accidential discarge.
