Happy Holidays to me. Was going to take my son hunting this weekend and last night got sick. Running a fever, congestion, nausea the whole works.

It odes suck. I've been fighting a terrible head cold for a month now. 2 doctors visits later and I still can't get it licked. Nothing worse than a nagging cough. Anybody had any luck with the Tesselon Pearl (Benzonotate) cough suppressant pills they prescribe. They haven't touched my cough.

I know how you feel. Last tuesday I got my tonsils taken out so this past week has been miserable.

At the first signs of a cold I use Zicam Nasal Gel and it knocks it out the next day...............I highly recommend it !

Tessalon Perles suck. You need a cough suppressant like Tussionex or Robitussin AC. Tussionex has Hydrocodone in it and Robitussin AC has Codeine in it. Both are scheduled drugs, but they will flat knock out your cough.

Man, I'm way overdue for a cold. I'm hoping I can make it past New Years.
I tried that Zicam when it first came out and I ended up having the worst cold I've EVER had. Maybe they've improved it since then.

The stomach flu is going around here. I'll take a cold any day over that crap, pun intended.

When I feel a cold coming on I take Alka-seltzer cold plus and have good results with it...With a stuffed up head and sinus cavity I take sudafed, which seems to work really well.

Oh man I had to post this....I remember as a kid...If any of us kids even thought we were coming down with a cold or my mom thought we would.....There was only one cure and one cure alone.....

Right before bed time my mom would get the jar of Vicks Vapor Rub and wipe a big ole glob on our chests under our t-shirts. My moms, mom taught her this trick.... She said the vapor would help our breathing thru the night and we'd feel better the next day.... Well let me tell you this...if you have never experienced this type of remedy treatment for a cold....Try it and tell me the next day if your feeling better....lol...Cause believe me once that junk is firmly planted on your chest and you try to sleep at night...Your in for one heck of a night....Believe me for sure, your feeling better for sure cause you don't never want to have that crap globbed on your chest again while livin at home under the Medical care of your mom.........:D

Max, thanks for the advice. I got the throat spray and it works excellent. Little pricey, but worth it. I am not completely healed but feel much better than yesterday.

ateup try this .before you go to bed rub vics vapor rub on the bottem of your feet and then put on some socks.you should stop coughing at night and be able to sleep.

Hey Zicam works if you catch the cold within the first 36 hours.....It has been clinically proven to cut your symptoms of colds in half......

Art you are a non believer thus are meant to suffer regardless of the remedy...........:D:D

That was 9 or 10 years ago. I felt differently then. Now I rarely ever get sick, like once a year, and I work outside everyday. It's strange.:D

Sleeping with socks on has got to be one of the most uncomfortable things when it comes to sleeping.....But the rest of my family can sleep with theirs on and no problems at all sleeping......I kinda hope the wife comes to bed with hers on, cause I tell ya fella's...She has got to have the coldest feet a woman has ever had...When she wants to put them on me to warm them up after she gets in bed......Yikes...dem some cold dogs for sure......:D
