I have a glock 33 (.357 sig)and I have been on the search for a 9mm conversion. I think I had read that this was possiable to change barrel and clip that this could be done... but several people I have asked said it could not. any advise on where to find this? I have found the .40 conversion.

I would think the the 9mm conversion for the G27 (40 S&W caliber) might work. The .40 S&W and the .357 Sig share the same case head. KKM makes such a barrel (http://www.kkmprecision.com/custom_pistol_barrels/home.php?cat=30)

I've heard differing reports on running the 9MM conversions in slides design for the larger .40 caliber case - anywhere from "it work pretty good" to "really good" but no one seems to ever say it will be 100% reliable, extraction is generally the weak point.

The main problem with just changing barrels from .40 s&w case head size to 9mm case head size is there's too much difference for the extractor to reliably grip the rim on the smaller cartridge case. I personally wouldn't just switch barrels but hold out for the proper conversion kit. Now if you were switching from .357 sig to .40 s&w or vice versa it would work perfect with barrel change only-even magazines would interchange then. Have you considered .40 s&w or if you're wanting to save money while practicing-even .22LR if 1 is available for your model.

You need an aftermarket barrel--I believe Lone Wolf sells them. I love the 357 Sig round, and my 1st Glock was a G32 I bought new in Feb 98. I have since added a G33 factory barrel for my G27.
