Can't imagine why anyone would disect a factory load and weigh the powder charge.
There is no way to know what type of powder Rem uses in their factory loads and even if you could find out, it probably is a proprietary mix available only to them.
If you are wanting to reload and duplicate the Remington performance, check the ballistics charts and find a recipe that gives an approximation of the Remington's velocity.

Thanks Trust Me. I was curious as I had a guy that reloads suggest another load of for my gun and he said it would be less recoil--not that mine has too much cause it doesnt.I was just curious how he would know that unless he knew the makeup of those factory loads.
I actually went to another friends house recently and we loaded up some new ammo for my gun. I did enjoy doing that.

Less recoil could mean a lighter bullet. Like you say, a 243 isn't a stout kicker but dropping to a 90 grain bullet might be a noticeable difference. I know that in a 30-06 there is a noticeable difference between 150 and 180 grains, especially from the bench.

That reloading fella probably has a bullet puller and could probably tell you if you really wanted to know.

I am going to try an 85 grain Sierra Gameking hp bullet instead of the 100 grain psp that comes in the Remington factory loads.
