I prefer matte. But I also shot my stainless Ruger with Krylon flat black. Don't need the shine.

I don't care if they look good as long as they work. ;)
I have stainless rifles with silver rings, & matte scopes. I also have stainless rifles with matte rings and a silver scope.
It's a black & silver thing. :D

Think I'll just go matte with bases, rings and scope.

Whatever is the cheapest. Matte if it didn't matter.

I like my Silver scope with stainless rings on my Ruger M77 Mark II! Never cared much for a balck scope on a satinless gun!

I have a s9ilver scope on a stainless and wood encore. Looks good but the reflection from the atv lights had me wishing for a matte.

I once owned a M77 stainless and had silver rings/bases with a matte scope. The look of a "black" scope with with silver rings/bases along with a black synthetic stock looked sweet. When it comes to deer hunting, I really don't worry too much about "flash" from a shiny rifle/scope combo. Deer are used to "flashing" with the sunlight beaming off of blowing trees/leaves and such.

I dont know how stainless firearms sell. They arent that easier to take care of are they? And the metal is softer Ive seen some pistols blow up that were stainless. Plus the glare off them while hunting cant be good.
