So...one of my TVs is digital ready so why dont I get any digital stations. I use a dish but still get locals over the air. I live in the Henderson/Evansville area and I think some if not all stations are sending both signals now. So why cant I pick them up now with the digital ready TV I have??

Also....My mother lives in Webster Co. and got the converter box on her old TV but could only pick up a couple of stations and the rest wouldnt come in without breaking up. I think she will also need a roof top antenna. Digital signals are a all or nothing thing...either you get them clear or not at all. This is going to cost many people alot of money if they will also need to buy outside antennas.

I don't know what channels you are getting in your area off-air now, but if you are getting good, clear UHF/VHF reception off-air, you should be getting the digital feed also.

Don't get caught up in "I need a digital antenna BS". All off-air is transmitted in the same frequency range.

I think thats the problem....If you cant get clear analogue you will not get digital at all where as analogue can be watched even if its fuzzy. Thats why many people will need a new antenna.

I did a channel search and did get two digital stations for channel 44 with the rabbit ears but that was all. Its just that the signal isnt strong enough just with the rabbit ears.

Good point. If you are not getting a clear picture now, you will get no picture when everything goes digital. There is some scamming out there that you need a "digital" antenna. The point I was trying to make is there really is no differance in the freq range of most antennas made for home use.
