OK, since everyone knows of my joy for the over ranked Cardinals....I'll go ahead and get the ball rolling for the thread that is going to be hit on hard.....
U of L's shooting % absolutely just stank in the 2nd half...... But I give WKU all the credit in the world for playing a nice game.

UL played terribly and deserved to lose.
The only joy that keeps me going is knowing that IU will struggle to win 10 games this year. :)

10 wins would be great for a team returning only a walk-on from last years team......:)

it looked like last year that wku was the best team in the state, may be the same deal this year...i watch wku play southern illinious and they looked really good. shot the lights out of the ball and played good defense-hope they are good next year so i can watch them more in bg since im gonna be a wku freshman next year
I wonder how the UL UK game will be this year? I really wanna go to freedom hall and watch this but cant get tickets and gotta game myself that saturday.
Well, all I can say is that work will be easier for me tomorrow since UK beat a team from the mighty Big East and UL lost. I don't know what the rest of the seasons holds, but tomorrow will be a good day for me.:D

you are not really serious are you? WKU wasn't the better team tonight or last year. Best part of an otherwise suckey evening for me was listening to Paul Sandeford (sp), a former WKU coach say that UL played really poorly and WKU overachieved. March tells the story and the only thing WKU did to UL tonight was send the message to make more passes and bring down the Cards RPI.

Yep. You're right. The season is over. We might as well pack 'em up, boys.
We played horribly and shot worse. But, if you think playing bad one game means overrated then you are foolish. We may in fact be overrated, but this game doesn't convince me that. If the year is a bust, then I will agree.

ummm Doug, that would be Louisville, who went to the Elite Eight, while the Toppers only made it to the Sweet Sixteen.

Western made the sweet 16 last year under the easiest path EVER to a final 16 team and needed a last second prayer. As far as getting to the tournament, you might want to look at which team has been there the most in the past 20 years before getting too cocky. Horn got you guys there ONE TIME in the past 5 or 6 years.

I guess since Murray State whipped WKU by 28 points and WKU beat U of L by 14...Looks like Murray is the Top Dog School so far in the State of Kentucky.....We'll see how the Cats place in the picture before too long I guess......:)

The reason i said WKU was the best team last year in the state was cuz they played like a team and some of the best defense ive ever watched. I went and seen WKU and UL play last year (i am a UK fan and didnt even get to watch my favorite team) and i just thought overall that WKU was the overall better team. I mean they played tennessee very close and made some noise in the NCAA.
I dont know if yall saw WKU's coach after creaming U of L but he said even though he knew UL had an off game his team still believed that they could win. Why is it that whenever a team loses a game vs an under ranked opponent most of the time people say that the losing team had a bad game and doesnt give the credit to the opponent. Look UK got beat by VMI and alot of ppl i knew said oh uk just had a bad game but in reality VMI outplayed them and caused them to have a bad game. Same thing with WKU and UL. UL had a bad game cuz WKU outplayed them and caused them to have a bad game.
Now to my main question, how will the UL UK game be this year? Sure do hope the cats pull it off

You keep bringing up the mute point of Indiana's loss's this year...Why? Everyone in the Country knows Indiana is going to have a rough road to hoe this year....In case you didn't know, IU only returned one walk-on player from last years team.... DUH..... Why shouldn't they lose a lot of games? Notre Dame is a Power House Team this year and will make some noise...
I guess if they beat U of L by 39 points, Indiana will be a better team than U of L...Nope, it just means Notre Dame is that good....
Don't worry my friend, the State of Indiana always has a lot of good basketball teams to compete with any other College Team they go up against.....
So get off the dead horse of Indiana losing games this year by big time score's....It's going to happen no matter what you or I say about their play this year....But by the end of the year their type of team ball might even be better than U of L's normal ( Ball Hog ) type of play.

They played Tennesse close? Are you serious, that is an accomplishment that makes you think WKU was better than U of L last year. Allow me to refresh your memory a little. The Cards beat mighty Tennessee by 19 points in their sweet sixteen game. Here, check out the highlights.

Mills, that ballhog team style of play you speak of is as crazy as the guy that thinks WKU was the better team. It doesn't exist, Louisville is always one of the top teams in the country in assist. They are generally one of the better passing teams that you will see play. Good ol Tom Crean...er I mean harry Potter. Ask him how he liked playing Pitino and the Cards. Probably why he left the Big East first chance he got.
here is some Crean highlights for you Mills.

Okay. If you are admitting your team sucks and is going to get thumped week-in and week-out then why run your mouth about other teams?

1st Amendment baby...I got the right to critique other Colleges as I see it. At least I don't bleed, breathe and live my life on everything my team does. I just try and give an honest true evaluation of how I see things for the teams around the area.:)

I really wish i could have seen the Murray v.s. WKU game. Cause WKU looked good against UofL, and now they just beat Georgia, and looked good doing that. I'm a huge UK fan, but really looking forward to seeing what Western does the rest of the season, plus the head assistant is a hometown boy. I said all that to say this. Murray is either really good, or Western is just now starting to play some ball. Could be a lil of both, hard to always tell from early season play. Cause from december, to March. Alot can change.

Western is just now playing some ball. Before the U of L game coach even admitted he had been pushing to hard to get things changed from the previous coach to where he wanted them to go. He stated that he simplified everything and it seems to be working now and goign the direction he wants it too. He will definaetly be a good coach, but it will take a few years to build his program and get his players trained. He just now needs to get some good recruits.

Ohio Valley Conference, same conference as WKU was in for many years. It is a D-1 conference for basketball, but not for football.

Um, I hate to be picky here, but it IS Division I for football....just not BCS. It is Football Championship Subdivision. You can't play D-1 basketball, unless you play D-1 football. They were formerly known at I-A and I-AA.
