Jodie Meeks 24 K State 23 at the half

Meeks is playing well.. Kentucky looks better overall.. When they get the ball down the floor they've got a pretty good chance at scoring. They're still making the usual careless turnovers, but there starting to gel a bit.
Meeks is lights out, already has his avg at the half.

I didn't stay up for the game, but I read they had 31 turnovers. That will not get it done, honestly I don't see how they won. I think Meeks ended up with 37.

yeah meeks did end up with 37...... the game was really weird. Ky in the half court set was pretty good.. It was just getting to that point that was hard for them.. they need someone to take control out front and get it done. liggins didn't play hardly any.. he just looked like an idiot when he did. porter did ok. the cats shot 70% from the field is how they done it. they got good shots when they were able to run there offense. patterson had a good game as well as harris.

dairus miller came in and looked good while he was there, fouled out in a few minutes but ended up with 5 points.

ol long and skinny in the middle.. uhhhhh stevenson, he looked like a duck out of water all night as usual. he couldn't take both hands and stick one finger up his butt

if the cats can learn to get the ball up the floor like they did on a few occasions last night they'll be alright.

Liggins REFUSED to go back into the game. Not good. We probably won't see him tonight, maybe ever again.

thats pathetic......... he looks sooo out of place even when he's out there on the floor.. the last game he knocked down a couple shots.. but for a point guard he sure does look lost/awkward.. he just puts his head down and runs for the baseline.. i'm wondering now if he's worth the scholarship.

porter did better, he knocked down a 3 and didn't turn the ball over near as much as usual

If I was Liggins, I'd be pissed to. Porter has no business playing for UK. It would have to be painful to watch Porter screw up over and over, then get into the game for a minute and get jerked out for making a mistake.

Liggins is the most lazy looking indvidual on the floor.. has absolutely no pop or flare to him at all... miller has some flash, some color to his game.. liggins just looks like he don't belong........

hope that changes.. but liggins has no right to be mad about anything, he came in and looked like he was lost at best..

i'm also sure that liggins wasn't mad, he probably just didn't wanna screw things up

Scott, the ONLY reason they won was because they shot 70% and KS was -30%. How many times do you think UK is going to shoot that percentage this year? 31 turnovers will be a L just about every game unless we shoot 75% to 25% for the other team. Keep in mind we only won by 2 pts.;)

i beleive you copied my post from earlier.......... they did shoot the ball well and once in the half court set, they looked alright

31 turnovers is unacceptable.. we all know that

and the reason that K state shot 30% is that kentucky played some pretty good defense for the most part......

i think he'd be much better in ther role of a cameron mills..... porter can shoot the ball, but he's so mentally shot from trying to do a job that he can't do it's killing him

you were referring to him being a shooter doofus! Agree you don't need to be tall to play point. I'm saying he's too undersized to be a shooter. Maybe if he was 3 steps faster and had a 50 inch vertical to add to it so he could drive as well.

Mills is taller than Porter and was a waaaay better pure shooter then Porter will ever be. Mills had the ability to score inside as well, Porter does not. Porter should not be at UK, and no matter how hard he plays I seriously doubt he will ever make a major contribution to this team. He would not be good on the wing, unless by "wing" you actually mean the end of the bench.
