A buddy of mine recently got his hands on a Mossberg Model 75 - 20 gauge that was his dads. It's a bolt action shotgun. I was wondering if anyone knew where I might find some more information on it. Or if anyone has any information on it then please contribute. I'd like to know when it was made, how much it might be worth, etc.. Thanks.

Made in 1939 or 1940, single shot bolt action 20 gauge, valued more as a family heirloom rather than a collector's piece. If on the market I wouldn't expect more than 75 bucks to be offered.
Just do a google search on "Mossberg model 75 bolt action 20" and you'll find some info.

I know the .410 models shot great! They look like a 30-06. LOL! Out shot my Benelli 12 guage at the local turkey shoot! A friend of mine has a 16 guage bolt. but I'm not shure if it is a Mossberg or not?

My Dad had one of the Mossberg 12 gauge bolts blow open in his face when he shot it. He was lucky. It could've been real bad.

My grand-dad had one in 16 guage. If I remember correctly some of them had problems with the safety & could go off unexpectedly. After almost loosing a foot he took it to a gunsmith to have it fixed.

That's the absolute TRUTH!! I used to win quite a few turkey shoots with mine as a kid. Those external chokes are TIGHT!
It was my first gun (and my dad's first gun) and will be my son's first.
