Well I picked up right at 1000 acres this morning at church. I was pouting to a couple people today about me loosing some of my hunting grounds the past couple years and both said to hunt on them!! Went out and did a little scouting today and before I setped out of the truck at the first farm I saw 2 toms strutting with 5 or 6 hens, needless to say I didn't get to walk around there much. Never made it to the other farm. Looks like I will be up listening to them gobble the next 3 mornings.

I'm laid off from work with nothing to do but turkey hunt. The camper's packed and ready to go. It don't get no better than that. I'm like a kid on christmas eve! Tom
I usually get laid off during deer season and that dont hurt my feelings none.

The weekend are always slower here (on the forum), But I'll say I'm ready......
Already having trouble sleeping, and these last few days seem terribly long. Plus Fixin' to start Vacation too, I've got (2) work days left.

I'm really looking forward to thursday. I've got permission on a couple small farms that look promising. Been seeing and hearing multiple toms. Last year(my first KY turkey season) I was in the police academy at this time and only got to hunt twice. Never even worked a bird. I should get to hunt alot more this year. Maybe I'll get that first eastern to go with my 4 rio's! Also got a hunt planned back in KS the second week of May. Really can't wait to get back to the old stompin grounds and hunt with my buddie there.
