TICK PROOF IDEAS..SHARE THEM PLEASE!

Alright I thought I had thought of everything for next Thursday until I forgot about the Ticks! I hate them! In the past we used Rubber bands around the pant legs of our jeans to keep them out. What other meathods do you all use>?

Use a repellent that contains PERMETHRIN. Be sure to read and follow directions. Keep your pants legs tucked in your boots. You shouldn't be bothered with ticks! It works for me. Tom P.S. I don't think the spray that's available now is as strong as the stuff we used to get at LBL, but it still works.

Anything with permadone in it will do wonders. But please read the can, spray this on couple days before you head out on everything that you will be wearing. Like pants, shirt, hat,. I wear Lacross rubber boots for this reason and for all the streams and creeks I cross, so my pants stay inside the boots. After you have sprayed your outfit, it will be good for about 2 weeks if you dont wash it before then. Dont spray this stuff on while you are wearing your clothes, this stuff will cause birth defects. Just my 2cents, been tick free for 11 years.

It works, Like a dummy I saw hot sign a few years ago while driving west Ky WMA, actually I saw 5 shooter bucks in a feild. So I drove around for a bit then came back they were gone so off I went to find some possible stand sites and entry/exit trails. Well me being me and not thinging headed thru thickets and soybeans end of July without any insect protection.

Big Mistake......... Covered head to toe in Ticks, but the worse were the 10,000,000 chiggers. Ended up @ the hospital for a shot.

Old Spice deodorent. Put some from about your knees to your ankles and you will smell good and not find any ticks.

I got mine at Wings on the same trip where I camped with that weird guy from Henderson[:p]. Wallymart had them also. I do have some spares that I would part with for a nominal fee[:D].
