I went out today and found two on me when I got home. Had one on me last week. I heard that it takes 24 hours for a tick to start transmitting the disease to humans but not sure if it is true.

It starts as soon as they bite. They inject chemical fluids into bite to keep open for blood flow.[V]

I pack a small val of Hydrogen Peroxide with me and pour it on the extraction spot immediately[;)] This seems to help tremendously in preventing an itchy spot that last's until June[:0]

what u get out, is what u put in

Put the first coat of Permanon on my clothes yesterday. It's funny how somedays you don't pick up any, and get a load of them the next day in the same area.

Where can I find permamone? I have looked at wal mart and had no luck. Their repellents dont list the ingredients. Can somebody give me a brand of repellent that has it in it?

I had to go to 3 Walmart stores before I found some. I cleaned em out.

Try upping your intake of garlic for a month or two and see if you get less ticks to bite and hold.

Also, if you check the label on some lice shampooes that you'll get from a drug store, you'll see that it has permanone in the mix. I haven't tried it, but think that if it works on your clothes through several washings, that it should work as a body wash???

Last, 100% Deet will keep ticks off also. In fact, there's not much that will eat you with that stuff on you except maybe a grizzly??? I not sure about that either, but it does work on ticks.
