We have a management meeting for next years outlook in coal and company growth, we do it every year. We are in the planning stages of a 75000 square foot expansion with 15-30 more jobs.

Our Company repair's and manufacture's coal mining equipment, With the comment's Obama said now in the open, I have a good idea as to what our meeting today will be about......

He apparently want's to "bankrupt the coal industry"

I sure hope this gets around.

Funny that this was said back in Janurary and it is now just getting out.

The MSM sure does a good job - NOT!

The bad thing is that he said it really late in the game, and the only network that will touch it is Fox news...

That comment will effect Ky, Wv, Va, Pa, and OH......

I wish there was a way we could get that message out to more people. The coal plants in exsistance now, oh boy, we'll be paying 600 a month in electric.. Thats not a tax though..... yea right

In addition to the loss of jobs in the coal industry, everybodys commercial and residential electric bills will go up due to Husein's "new greenhouse tax" placed on the coal industry.

What I find so sad is that comments like this doesn't matter to diehard Democrats. They will vote straight Democratic no matter the consequences. I've heard alot of people in the business say that if Obama is elected the coal industry will be hurt drastically.:(

Most of his policies will hurt all businesses. Everybody wants to bash big business, but then they drive home in their car paid for by big business, then get to their home paid for by big business, and then eat supper paid for by big business, etc, etc. The bottomline when businesses get tax cuts, they use that money in ways that effect everyday workers. They increase employment, buy more equipment, give raises, and on top of that, all of this increases the companies stock price, which all employees have a vested interest in.

Well meeting went as I expected.....

Currently the coal industry is booming!!!! Everyone is begging for workers!!! Companies are constantly upping pay and benefits to keep and aquire new workers. Looks as if the boom is over if Obama becomes president.

Our company has had the best year ever in company history, more new orders each day. We are at currently a 5-6 week turnaround for a cylinder repair, not counting our new manufacturing.

The plans for us to add on and hire more employees are now on hold, at least until we see what sort of negative impact Obama will have on the coal industry, and as he made well known, he is not a fan of coal.

Our officers also demonstrated how Obamas so called tax relief was going to hurt the company, AS WELL AS the "middle class" employees he says he is trying to help. Our company is owned BY the employees, a percentage of the profit goes into our ESOP plan (Employees Stock Option Plan) To make a Long story Short, The Company won't clear as much profit, therefore not as much goes into MY retirement.

THANKS OBAMA!!!!

Give my hard earned money to some lazy a$$ guy that won't work at all!!! SPREAD THE WEALTH!!!!!!!

Dont forget to thank those diehard supports of the messiah while you are at it!

I think that going forward we should require anyone that voted for McCain to have an elelphant somewhere in their signature and anyone that votes for Obama needs to have a jack-ass.......That way we all know who to thank when something happens that effects us either positively or negatively...............

Has anyone seen the remark by Obama about bankrupting the coal industry? I know it might be taken out of context but the way it was stated still is a threat to anyone who might be planning to build a coal fired plant, like the one proposed by peabody energy here in Muhlenberg county. He said that anyone who wanted to build a power plant could but they would be bankrupted by paying for the green house gases that would be released. What do you think about this? Sounds almost like the Sierra clubs attempt to block the plant here. They have been blocking it for about 8 years now. Sooner or later peabody will get tired of messing with it and just drop it. Leaving us the same place we were to begin with. While life goes on for all of The Sierra Club members who dont have to worry about paying their bills.

This makes me sick!!! You know some people make a living in the coal industry. without a place for the coal to go there would be thousands out of jobes here. When are people going to start facing reality, instead of looking over it.:mad::mad::mad:

I wasn't taken out of context. He was talking about the "carbon footprint tax" he would impose on all industry that would bankrupt any builder of a coal fired plant. He even means clean coal technology. He also stated the "energy prices would necessarily skyrocket" In other words he thinks it's a good thing to "skyrocket" energy prices to push his "alternative" energy Bull Sh**.
