What's wrong with going when you get off???? I work shifts and have for 26 years. We work 12 hours now. I get to the woods just about the right time. Hunt quick and get in the bed.

I too work the ole 12 hr swing, the trick is go when you get off, fall asleep under a tree, wake up lost and disoriented, wander around for a while, find your truck that afternoon, get to work late and when they find you asleep on the line tell then you dont feel well!! Hey beats sleeping in a cozy bed anyday!!!!! Come to think of it though those Tom's always gobble in my dreams!!! Good luck to all you swingers!!!!!!!!!

I'm lucky enough to be taking a vacation, But if I weren't I'd be there if possible. Even if that meant hitting the timber at 10:00 AM, I'd be there. You see more & more mid-day hunting now.

If you can get in the woods by 9am you'll get to wave at all the early birds heading back to their trucks. 10 to noon was the "killer" time for me last season. Four birds, two on hard hunted public land (LBL & Ft. Campbell), the other two in Ohio. All between those hours. Good luck.

Hope you don't wake to the sound of thousands of hungry deer ticks in a feeding frenzy.[}:)][:(!]

I work thirds too, but I took off 3 days right around the opener and opening weekend, so I can go Thursday through Monday.
