Did anyone catch the show tonight? A while back there was a ? concerning the senior/disabled license on here and the last ? tonight answered it for us. If you deer hunt with a senior/disabled license you can only kill the normal amount of deer on a reg license after that a person has to buy the bonus tags just like everyone else they are not included also NOT included is the out of zone elk permit. you have to buy it. I hope this clears up the confusion i know it did for me.

I thought the question about dogs running deer was interesting. Seems the "official" answer is different then what is described on this board.:D

I called and got through, took several tries, I told them it had been rumored that there would be an additional cow elk draw and asked them
if there was any truth to it. The lady that took my call thanked me and
got my name and location then told me she had got that question
several times and they would answer it shortly. but I didnt hear it asked.
The first5 or 6 minutes was kinda in and out on my TV, did anyone hear an
official response?

Yeah, they had a pretty rough start on the air, on again off again. Thats live TV at its best.

I was thinking about getting a goat, but now that I know I can't breed them with my local deer population I will just stick with sheep:D

I was shocked to know that a .410 shotgun is a legal deer weapon
makes since i suppose since its a centerfire weapon i was thinkn of getting my girl a single 20ga suited with a scope if what was said is true i may allow her to use my 410.. 410 slug would also be deadly on yotes

Did ya'll also hear the ? about the concealed .22 pistol while deer hunting.
The LEO said it could only be concealed if you had a ccw otherwise you had to carry it out in the open. I thought it was illegal to have a .22 with you deer hunting since it is a rimfire and only centerfire are legal for deer. Maybe i am confused hope someone can clear this up for me.

You come up with that picture pretty quick have you been holding that for a special occasion. I don't like you very much anymore.:p

Back on topic. I wish they would get someone that actually had some sense to call in there with questions. The majority of the questions asked can be answered by actually READING the hunting guide....

the 22 pistol is or should be legal to carry during gun season, you are not permitted to carry any type of guns during archery season if you are deer hunting

Includes Combination Hunting and Fishing License, all deer permits, Spring Turkey Permit, Resident Fall Turkey Permit, State Waterfowl Permit and Trout Permit. Must be over 65 or have a department issued disability authorization card.)

I've answered the phone lines before on the call in shows. You would not believe the questions!

You probably heard the BEST ones. I had a lady ripping my ears off one night wanting to know what the KDFWR was going to do about the coyotes in her yard..........in INDIANA!

It sounded to me like the LEO thought it was a question about deer season, then Tim corrected him to it being about having your 22 pistol concealed while small game hunting (not deer hunting at the same time) and he answered it that way. I'm pretty sure he didn't say you could have a rimfire while deer hunting...and even if he did, the guide still says no rimfire guns or ammo on you while you deer hunt.
