Something to put in your trick bag. I thought about this because we're having a bright sunrise this morning.
Turkeys do not like to approach into a bright low sun, morning or evening. So if you're setting up to call a bird off the roost, pay close attention to where the sun will be. He doesn't want to stare into it, and neither do you. Also, the bright sunlight creates stark shadows. I always try to be in the shade whenever possible--camo works better and the shadows will hide some small movement.
Speaking of movement. During the spring, we always have some gusty days. Wait for the gust to come if you need to adjust or move. You won't stick out as much if everything around you is also moving, and the noise will hide a number of sins.
