Just wondering if anyone was hunting Tennessee this weekend, and how the birds were acting there. Seems like its gonna be a good weekend if they are acting like they are here. Thanks

Use to run down an turkey hunt Tennessee every spring.
Use to be 500,000 acres of public hunting on paper company in Tennessee, not any more. What a loss.[xx(][:(!][V]
Westvaco, Willamette ,Tenneco, International Paper and all other paper companies in Tenn. pulled out of the public hunting program and started selling/leasing their property.

When this happened it also put alot of pressure on the remaining public hunting. I own a farm in Tenn. that joins a public area, until last year it didn't recieve alot of pressure, after the change on the timber co. land, the place looks like a parking lot.

Can't wait. Talked with my buddy in Tenn. a few minutes ago and he said the birds are right and ready for the taking.

That hurt alot of hunters here in Western Ky too; The whole West-Vaco deal was a mess, and lots af accesible acres just gone. I lost 3 or 4 of my favorite hunting pots when that happened.

I wish the state would buy Peabody b4 that happens there. I'd jump off a bridge if we lost Peabody[xx(]

Here in Indiana the Peabody property is either leased or posted by Peabody. Thousands of acres of prime hunting land is off limits to us. Getting the state of Indiana to do any thing besides raise fees is almost impossible. You guys are very lucky.Tom
