I didn't like having a chew tin for the chalk and sand paper plus another case for my mouth calls so this is what I came up with. I made a mouth call box/ chalk, sand paper box out of an old small double sided jig box. On the one side I drilled small holes in the cover and I have all of my mouth calls in there and on the other side I have some chalk, sand paper, a stone for the glass call, and coarse sand paper for the slate. The holes keep my calls from getting nasty. It fits into my vest great and I can get at it easily in the dark. Never throw out old gear it may come in handy later!

I will have to say that mine is a camera holder that attaches to the end of either my bow or shotgun that will video all my hunts. I wanted something that would follow the hunt, so where the animal goes, so does my video.

Made cushions for deer stands out of the rubber mat stuff that hair cutters stand on.....Really comfortable!

In the process of builing it now. I'm building a "shooting shack" that me and my daugter can deer hunt out of. Instead of mounting it up on 4' poles, I'm building it up about 3' on sled runners so I can hook my tractor to it and drag it where I want![^]

I took an old paded boat seat and rigged a spindle on my deerstand. Last season was a very comfortable sit and I could spin 360 degrees. I put recievers in all of my permanent stands so the seat will work in any of them.

My wife is a nurse. I have her bring home some used latex gloves. I use old medicine bottles and cut half the top off and put the latex over the opening. Since they have been worn its easier to stretch them around the bottles. This makes some sweet sounding tube calls.

I've used latex gloves and 35mm film canisters to make the same type calls, cut out half of the bottom and stretch over with a rubberband.

Used feathers from a hen taken in the fall, cut a board to fit my hand and made my own WING. The domestic wing in the stores, why pay?Now I have a custom call that sounds better than a hat beating against my leg.

Mine would be my leather turkey strap to carry the bird with. A man from down in Possum Trot KY made it for me years ago. Works like a champ too!
