Not making this up! Last week in one night alone I heard of 3 different 4 wheeler accidents. 1 person died two were serously injured. Not to mention these things are being used to unfairly round up deer. And create noise pollution as well as add to acid rain.
Bottom line I don't have one so you shouldn't either!
Lets have all wheelers outlawed during all deer season this will greatly reduce death and injury to users and innocent bystanders. As well as give deer a fighting chance an not allow the massive problem of deer herding.
I'm sure everyone will agree with me on this one! It's good for us all.[}:)][;)][:o)][:p]

Don't cars do the same thing? I think we should outlaw use of all motor vehicles on or off-road during deer season! Just Joking![:D]

Hey, you guys remember the first post shogan made? I knew right then and there I would like this guy!!!![8D] I was wrong, you just lost me man. I enjoy riding, I use it on either my private property or on others with permission and only if permission includes deer season. I wouldn't care if they outlawed the use of them on public land but I'm not giving mine up, too valuable. It provided me the means to bring up that 30 ton of rock for the wife's pond, it also helps keep the field cut with a bush hog being pulled behind it. It helps keep my feeders full, and give the kids rides around the property. Nope, not with ya on this one!!!!!!1

Mr Bowhunter sorry:
See my humor (or lack of humor) just doesn't come across on these posts.
After the discussion to ban screw in steps in the state I thought I would get really outrageous (and make my point) that banning things goes against freedom in the US.
I'm really envious of you 4 wheelers and some day will have one myself. Kinda like jetskis they bug the heck out of you until you have one.
As far as public land well I wish they would let you take a truck or 4wheeler back to retrieve but I understand that's to hard to monitor.
Go about using yours as you have been.

ive seen some stupid stuff on 4 wheelers in my time. i use mine quite a bit year 'round. as far as deer season i use it to haul my stands in and out and eventually retreive deer. ill never own a jetski because i dont wanna be cussed and called an a-hole. ive been on the lake fishing and i swear they deliberately do the things they do that tick you off

Well then shogan, I retract my last statement. I am once again on board. I understand how things can be miscommunicated in type. Coming from PA and the PA bowsite conference, there's been many miscommunication. Face to Face is always best.
Good luck this weekend.

There are SO many things in use today that do harm to the environment that if they all were banned we ALL would be in a heck of a fix. ATV's an screw in steps are small potato's. If you start trying to dictate what someone can or can't do on thier own property that is working against what this counrty stands for. Let's take an example... ban outboard motors from ALL lakes an rivers, Electric only allowed, don't want those exaust fumes poluting the water. Ban any off road vehicle, damage such as ruts made by use of them off road causes the chance of erosion an damage to the eco-system. The list could go on an on.
I understand where the fellow who works the sawmill see's danger from objects left in trees, What I would like to know is HOW MANY SCREW IN STEPS has he ran across when cutting tree's or logs into lumber. I would think it would take near a lifetime to grow a step into a white oak or other hardwood tree where it wouldn't be visable to the naked eye. Nail's from old permanant stands would seem to be a bigger problem.
