Haven't been in a couple of weeks, but stay in the upper river. We fished around Helms a couple of weeks ago and did good fly fishing on Zebra Midges. They just stocked this pas week so there should be plenty of fish. Every person I have talked to says that down around Burkesville, the low water levels and lack of oxygen has gotten the fished really stressed.
Good luck.

Just got back today, been down there since Wednesday and 3 of us limited out everyday. Most all of them were around 12'', good eating size but nothing to brag about. We saw some nice walleye and stripers as well.

Where were these walleye being caught. Is it right up there near the dam? or farther down the river?

I am not sure where they were being caught but I am pretty sure it was on down river from the dam in some of the deeper holes. I just saw them at the fish cleaning station wheen we were there.
