Got a hen Saturday!

Took a nice young hen Saturday with my Mathews. I was sitting on a little high wall with a road/bench with clover running underneath me. The hen came feeding through and I was able to make the shot. I was using a Magnus 4 blade stinger and the shot was quartering away. The arrow entered behind the right wing and took out the righ hip. She ran about ten yards and fell. I didn't weigh her but I'm guessing around 12-14 pounds. Just wanted to share!

BTW I checked the turkey section of the harvest results on KDFWR web site two days after I checked the bird, and noticed that Fall turkeys don't show up like they did in the Spring. Wonder why?

Congrats! Usually there is a 24 hr wait b4 harvest show up. Perhaps thats why.

I checked back today and now you can search the fall turkey kills just like you can the deer so you can see the hunter's name, county of kill, etc.

Congrats. on the kill!! I took a young hen myself on Sunday!! It was a beautiful weekend to be in the woods.
