Thanks for all the warm welcomes. To answer some of your questions about my competition shooting, I shoot both IPSC and IDPA. I usually shoot a Glock 34 9mm in both. In IPSC I usually shoot the 3 gun competitions and use my Glock 34, Remington 870 12ga, and a Smith and Wesson M&P15 AR in .223. I have been shooting IDPA for the longest period and have qualified as Expert in CDP and SSP, Sharpshooter in ESP. I used to shoot my 1911 the most, but ammunition costs forced me to switch to the Glock in 9mm. I have just recently got my first classification in IPSC as a C class shooter. I almost made B class, but had a few bad classifiers that bumped me down to C class. I am also an NRA certified instructor for Basic Pistol, Home Firearm Safety, Refuse To Be a Victum, Personal Protection Inside and Outside the Home. I am also a certified CCDW instructor for the state of Kentucky, Ohio, and Florida. Thanks again for all of the warm welcomes. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.

Welcome to the site. I am new as well. I really enjoy it. I was in the teams in the navy and train on a regular basis. I only shoot with local law enforcement. But would love to hit a tournment for fun.

I have my own business called Combat Triad. I teach at the Estill County Sportsman's Club. I do everything from Basic Pistol on up to advanced handgun tactics and force on force training. My favorite is the force on force training. I have a few gas blow back airsoft pistols and I have my students go through different self defense scenario's. It's funny how quick people learn how to use cover and concealment when they are actually getting shot with something. Another one of my more popular classes is my Concealed Carry 101 class. I like to teach it the day after I do my CCDW Class. It is geared toward the new shooter who just took the CCDW. I start out slow with how to draw, then go into drawing from concealment, then into shooting on the move. It then goes into cover and concealment, malfunctions drills, and speed reloading. Then we put it all together. It's lots of fun as well.

I figured you were the one who took my screen name. Those of you who don't know us, cstraiton is my younger brother Charles. My name is Chris. I'm the older, better looking, more level headed, more successful one of us. Y'all just let me know if he gets out of line on here. I'll get the belt after him like our dad used to do.:D

You left out fatter, slower, and balder. Don't forget, you are the one who taught me how to shoot, so you better put your bullet proof vest on before you come at me with a belt.

Combat Triad-Welcome
Have you ever shot any 3 gun matches in Owensboro? If so have you shot against Gary Welborn? He is a Master Class Shooter that is out of the Owensboro Gun Club.

Thanks, guy's. I've never shot any matches at Owensboro. Probably will be after I fill my deer tags before I will do much more shooting. When do they hold the matches at Owensboro?
