Had to run in to visit the Doc this afternoon, got a scrip and went to Wal-Mart to get it filled.....Wal-Mart is closed...heck the entire area around Central City is closed. All schools closed and not going to open tomorrow either. Power is out, no traffic signals. Came back to Greenville, needed some gas so we stopped at the new Hucks...$3.99.9 and CASH only no credit or debit cards accepted. Every gas station in town was either packed or out of gas with bags on the pump. Heard the scanner this morning say the water system for the county was going down. Did WW3 start and I missed the news cast ?

Come to Bowling Green if you can make it, civilization still exists. I've heard its pretty bad up that way. My mom finally got power back last night in Owensboro. Everybody is talking about gas shortages and so on...everything is going ok here, but we missed the worst wind.

my mom and dad just out of greenville lost their barn roof and several BIG oaks. No power still for either them or my grandparents down the road. My grandfather is on an oxygen tank full time and has been using his back up tanks while the power is down. My dad took the empties to central city today to get them refilled and none of the medical places that do that were open. Last I heard they were taking one of the generators out of rotation on everyones freezers and putting it on the O2 machine.

Several water systems have been going down since they are running out in the gravity tanks.

I heard all muhlenburg mcclean and daviess co. were out of power. We were suppose to had a golf match at mulhenburg north but they cancelled it. Dont really see why u need electricity to play golf but oh well. It seems like muhlenburg has gotten hit hard this year by weather. First the tornado now this wind

Here in Southern Muhl, we get our power from Pennyrile. We lost power Sunday due to a tree on the lines down the road. on;y 3 or so hours. But yes, most of the county is without. Including my 71 year old mom. We ARE about to run out of water.

Looks like a war zone here also. The Walmart I went to was open but looked like it had been looted. Drove through some neighborhoods that were without power. People sitting around in their front yards with fires burning. At least the weather cooled down. School may be out all week, power may be out to some homes for 2 weeks. I can't imagine what a stronger storm would have done.

Wonder what people will do if "hard times" ever do come?

They'll survive. Surprisingly, most people seem to be taking it in stride from what I've seen.

I had siding ripped off the back side of my house so bad the entire home will need to be resided to look correct ..I called the insurance agent they said an adjuster would be here in a week or so..We lost everything in the freezer and frig. claiming that on the insurance as well...I've never ever had winds that bad around my home..Trees broken off at the base , lines down electric out.. what a mess..Luckily noone was injured around my home..
