Peabody Quail Hunting

Anyone here do much quail hunting on Peabody? What type of terrain and cover is there? Is it worth hunting?

Never had any luck. I know a few guys who say they have honey holes though and do great. Of course they won't tell where.

I hunted there a couple of years ago and got into one covey. The part I was in was pretty open, flat, reclaimed strip jobs with surrounding forest strips and marshy low areas. We left after taking a few birds from the covey to hunt on private land. I've wanted to go back and hunt the wet areas during the woodcock migration, but haven't. The place is so big and not contiguous that I found it hard to figure out where to hunt with no prior knowledge of the area.
