View Full Version : Took my 4yr old to his first UK game. Caught crap for my NOBAMA sticker!

I took my 4yr old to his first UK football game tonight and he had a BLAST! He wants to go back tomorrow :D That's the good news. Now for the bad.....while we were sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic trying to park at the stadium, I was yelled at so many times I lost count about my NOBAMA sticker on the back of my Jeep! Some would curse McCain, some called me names, others would just start talking about how much they liked Obama to each other while they walked by. I thought it was kind of funny actually. I started watching people walking behind my Jeep in my rearview and guessing who would say something and who wouldn't. What struck me as odd though was that NO ONE said anything positive about it. Oh well. GO MCCAIN!!!!

That's the difference in supporters for each. There are several Obama signs in yards in my neighborhood. I figure everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I GUARANTEE if I put out a NOBAMA sign my property will be vandalized.

Go online and you can get a yard sign and a bumper sticker for $7.00.
Or you can check with the Republican office in your area, but usually the signs cost more.
There are a ton of cool shirts out there I want to get one that has Obama on the front and the caption. HITLER gave good speeches too. :)
The funny thing when you ask supporters of Obama, they can't tell you one thing he has done except for voting "PRESENT".

Bet the kid had fun at the game! My first game was a WKU vs UK game WAY back.
I would have just laughed when people said stuff. There are soooo many times the crap has come up in college classes and I just laugh when some of my teachers ask people to raise their hands and tell why they are for Obama..none raise their hands...seriously NONE. THen there are tons that raise their hands with stuff for McCain and against obama. I have a buddy that is finally awakening to obama, I took the sign out of his yard last weekend and this next weekend I'm going to replace it with a McCain sign...he hasn't noticed anything yet.:D

There are lots of liberals in Lexington, but it's not that. When you go onto a college campus filled with students, it doesn't matter what city or state you are in, you just won't get much love for supporting a Republican.
You know the old saying, "If you're not a liberal at 18 then you have no heart. If your not a conservative at 30 then you have no brain."

a person is never more dangerous than when they are convinced beyond a doubt that they are right or in this case left. I noticed at the RNC several protesters got arrested for getting violent, wonder why I never hear of this at the DNC when conservatives protest?? McCain will win Ky by double digits. Liberals are just loud!!! There's not more of them in Lexington,Louisville or anywhere else in Ky. I remember a great bumper sticker back during the last election. It was a Bush,Cheney sticker that looked like somebody keyed it. It said "someone of tolerance and diversity keyed my car"!

This past DNC there were 141 arrests. Liberals, being the smarter group, manage to get on camera before they get arrested:D If you are protesting and nobody sees it....what is the point;)

Actually census data indicates that we are seeing a migration of people into the metro areas....these areas hold the populations of liberals because that is where the higher end jobs are.
You get vandalism on both sides....don't kid yourself. At this point I could really care less who wins.... I have been watching our investments lose hundreds of dollars in value a day over the past few days...the economy is so bad right now that any change in administration has got to be a good change in administration....
To bad we cannot place embargos on everybody who has voted for Bush in the past. Take their vote away for one election as punishment.....maybe all those smart right wing conservatives would have time to sit back and reflect on how smart they where when they put the c average cowboy in office....Twice.

A little something called Suffrage makes sure that the idiots on both sides get to vote. Everytime.
As for the C average cowboy, I distinctly recall that even he was a better choice than the C minus average Boston blueblood that graduated from the same school but made even lower grades.

Oh man, that's good stuff!
Bush is the guy who outsmarted every democrat, liberal, and major news outlet in this country...TWICE. What does that say about the intelligence of the losers, err, I mean democrats?
Mark Bush down as a dumb old redneck or whatever, but the fact is that he took on the best liberals had to offer and WON and that's how it will go down as fact in the history books.

I never call all Democrats "liberals". I know more democrats then republicans. I know very few liberals. The democrats I know are good people who aren't much different then me except they believe in a little more government then I do. Liberals are a whole different creature. Most believe government, with the right leadership, can solve problems for people that they couldn't or wouldn't solve for themselves. Most think that if you don't agree with their philosophy, your ignorant. From what I've seen they don't shave much (face or legs) and they have messy hair.

I wish they would give me sole choice of the democratic candidate.... I don't know who nominates them, but it sure as heck isn't me....Mostly because I am not even alowed to vote in the primary. I will be a member of the Kentucky Republican party next time around though:D
Okay now for my personal picks..... I would have chosen Howard Dean in 2004. He was my governor for 12 years though so I am biased.
This time around I would have taken John McCain for the dem nominee and put that Ron (fund nothing) Paul up for the republicans:D
If Mccain were to turn down the dem nominee I would have given it to Biden....he was my fisrt choice of those who ran anyway.
I would like to put Hillary against Palin though....just for fun.

Sounds to me like that makes Palin a Smart American. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were bailed out by Uncle Sam. Funny thing is the people who made thier idiotic business decisions by giving loans to people who could in know way pay them back are the ones who got saved. Who is actually getting punished here? The meat and patatos of taxed citizens is who. The middle class. Why should I have to pay for someone elses mistakes or you or anyone else. Now The Democratic party has done everything they could do to undermine the war on terror. The left is so worried about reading rights to terrorists and bringing them to civilian trials and eaves dropping on over seas phone conversations of people who want to kill not only me but you too. Well the Leftist cut and runner have commited treason in my opinion. Has President Bush been the best we have had. I don't think so. But in since America was attacked on 9-11-2001 we have yet to be attacked again despite everything the left has done. This includes the media. Now all these people crying over the stock market losing money how can that be tied to President Bush. A decision was made for whoever to invest thier money however and now it is losing ground and folks are crying. To me it all comes down to accountablilty for YOUR OWN ACTIONS. Right or wrong it is the inverstors responsiblilty to cash in on or lose which ever the case may be. If you fail you fail and if you win you win. But if you fail take the blame yourself. Since may of 2003 we have had 4077 or so American deaths in Iraq and 30182 Americans injured.
Nearly 500 American deaths in afghanistan. We have been attacked...over and over and over again.... They have no reason to come here and attack us when it is cheaper and easier to do it there. If Bush is going to hand them Americans to kill why bother trying to travel here and do it?

Isn't it funny that most Democrats will criticize McCain, or almost any Republican for saying that they can't give a speech without bringing up 9-11 or being a POW. Remind me again how this is different?
As for taking a vacation overseas, why am I supposed to care what someone from another country thinks? Heck, I really don't care too much what my neighbor next door thinks about me.
Secondly, why would I want to leave the greatest country on Earth? If those other countries weren't all screwed up in the first place, we wouldn't have to save them or invade them anyways.:D

You are quite a bit confused! Don't you think this is part of the plan. These radical muslims have been attacking us for decades. Another US attack must never happen again. Liberals have this idea that men join the military for free money for college or because their poor. That always pisses me off. I was on a boat with 2000 Marines and they were there to be the best and to kick butt. The President has not let another attack happen even though it has hurt his popularity. Responsibility over popularity is not the liberal way. I've been overseas in all of Europe when I was in the military. I didn't like them and they didn't like me. This was the early 80's. If you think anything the President has done has made it that way your mistaken. They like Americans when we act like liberals and when we save there butts. England and Spain are nice places to visit. The rest of are rude, envious, stagnant and need to shower!

That is the same attitude Bush has....that is why everybody calls him cowboy.....You can see where that attitude got him.... As president he thinks he and his administration is immune. I bet there will be grand jury investigations of him and his administration for years after his presidency ends. If he is lucky a buddy will be President and will pardon him.

For what it's worth which isn't much I'm no cowboy either. Just a plain old dirt farming hillbilly here. I'd be willing to bet that he can't come up with those reasons. Now Swede just tell me how exactly b.o's tax plan will benifit America? Raise taxes on big companies is only going to cause prices of the products they sell to go up. There ain't no way around that. This is not to mention the job losses it will cause. The left just loves to villify the "evil Big Corporations" which is the life of our economy. The corps do not pay taxes. They raise prices to make up the short fall in income. I wish there wer no corporate tax. It would be crazy at the amount of companies wanting to come here. For the life of me I cannot figure out how anyone thinks they are entitled to anything but fresh air. I grew up in a family of 4 on a small farm in East KY. I guess you could say pee poor. I did however go to college. 2000 Grad of Morehead State. Most of the time I worked 3 jobs and took out loans. I'll be the first to admit I'm no world beater but what I have today I worked out. Now as a Christian I am 100% for taking care of my fellow man in need. It used to be the churches place to take care of the needy. then the left saw an opportunity to use as a political ploy to try and gain votes. It has worked for them for a long time. Starting to fall off though. 2008 could actually be the year that liberalism died. Look at all the feminist groups bashing Gov. Palin. A working woman with 5 kids and a life. Ohh no they now have nothing to cry about. Just the same reason why African Americans (to be politically correct) like Jesse Jackson are worried about b.o. If he wins they have no leverage any more. Now just keep on bashing President Bush. If you notice somthing about the 2 Bush and Obama. One has taken an unjust pounding by the liberal media yet is more of a man to let it just be freedom of speech. The other belly aches and wines everytime someone disagrees with him. ala the fairness doctrine. Now Bud you need to take a look out your nice air conditioned car window and see how many road side bombs you have to face each day. Unless you are in the middle east the answer would be none. You can thank the President that you hate so much for that. I am so thankful that our Military folks are fighting this battle over there. I don't have to worry as much about having to fight it here. I'd be willing to bet if somthing happened here as far as a terrorist attack you would be the first to critisize The President for not taking more action yet would be one of the last to get in line to defend our Nation. Soldiers who are over there for the largest part including the several that I have spoken with believe in what we are doing. May God Bless them and the service they are providing. Heck I could go on and on. B.O. will lead our country down a very bad path of appeasment and hand outs to the unworking. Look up the word Marxism and compare it to b.o's ideology. Lines right up like 2 peas in a pod. Heck folks sorry for going on and on and i could go on and on more. One more thing. Look at the economic growth of states like Texas, Arizona, and Florida compared to Mich. Ill and Ohio. The first three mention have grown over 20% in the last 4 years verses the drop in the latter 3. Differnce is Lower taxes and no unions. Lowering taxes creates jobs and lowers prices. Hence when you get your pay check you get to keep more of it. Do we need to say any more about it? By the way the 2 of the top 3 states have Republican Gov's. and Arizona has a conservative dem as gov. the others don't.

I am a heartless bastared who really doesn't care about the casualties. I don't believe in spending money on defence if it is not defence of our coast lines, borders. My issue with the Iraq war is the cost of it....the Bush's buddies who got rich off of it...and it completely served no purpose. We don't know if we are safer because you cannot claim that if we did not invade Iraq that we would have been attacked again. They did not have WMDs, George just had a vandetta to settle and wanted to prove to daddy that he could do it better.... Well no big deal for him, but it cost the rest of us a fortune.
The Cowboy should have picked up a history book and read a little about tribal civilizations before invading one...
The truth is that Bush is not lonely responsible for our situation now... He has power to persuade, but he still needed congressional and house of representative approval and they gave it to him.

There is no way that I will pay for a sign or sticker to help get someone voted into office. They want my help, they can come and put it in my lawn or give me the sticker.
Same thing with all those Realtree, Hoyt, MossyOak, etc stickers. They charge for them. SO, we the consumer are paying for their marketing advantage!!! They want me to market, give me the sticker.
I own a heating and cooling company. I don't see people paying to put my companies stickers on there truck and cars. I give them out for FREE!!!

The Cowboy should have picked up a history book and read a little about tribal civilizations before invading one...
The truth is that Bush is not lonely responsible for our situation now... He has power to persuade, but he still needed congressional and house of representative approval and they gave it to him.
Should we have gone into afaghanistan after 9/11?
This is a list of Attacks that WMD's where used by Iraq's army ordered by Saddam.

There are suspicions that Iraq's CBW materials may have been moved to Syria. "We are not talking about a large stockpile of weapons," he said. "But we know from some of the interrogations of former Iraqi officials that a lot of material went to Syria before the war, including some components of Saddam's WMD program. Precisely what went to Syria, and what has happened to it, is a major issue that needs to be resolved." There is no physical evidence to support this contention.

Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt confirms that an artillery round filled with sarin was found in Baghdad by a US convoy. The artillery round was rigged as an explosive device and partially detonated before being disarmed, resulting in minor injuries to two members of the explosive ordnance team from sarin exposure. Kimmitt comments that the people who rigged the bomb probably did not realize the shell contained chemical agents.

It is not a matter of "IF" there was WMD's or not. We know that they have been manufactured. We know that they have been used and we know that they are still out there.
Why do people think Bush lied?
Remember it only takes 1 of them on U.S. soil to unleash a tidal wave of fear across this country. Hence the name terrorism.

Great point GSPonGrouse, but here's one you left out. What about the 600 tons of uranium we just took out of Iraq in July? Here is a link to an article about it.

It may not have been weapons grade yet, but they still had 600 tons of it! Nobody ever seems to report this story.
