Anybody use a "Muzzy Zero Effect" arrow rest?? What's your opinion. Anybody shoot one finger style?
Are there other alternative manufacurers of "drop away", that aren't as "PRICY"?? $110.00 plus, for a rest, makes my head hurt!

i have been considering going to that rest...i have done some research or posting on bowhunting forums about it and a pro shop in maryland has set up around 500 bows so far with this rest said very few complaints he highly recommends this rest...NO he has no dealing with the company just when a bow leaves his shop he wants you to be satisfied it isnt a cheap rest mine is doing well i cant decide if i should try the new product or go with the "if it aint broke dont fix it" motto...

I've heard alot of good things about the muzzy zero effect rest. And one of the things is that it has a large pick up arm. Some of the others have small arms that might be a little difficult for shooters that bobble a little
You may want to check out an old thread on this one.

I put the Muzzy on at it's introduction.... Man I love that
thing. It's been set once and never fooled with again.
Of couurse if you change your draw weight or length adjustments will have to be made.
Honestly I can say it was the BEST $90 I have ever spent on my bow.
As for the question about shooting fingers, I don't know, I'll ask around and see if I can find an answer for ya!
Again, I'll say, The BEST purchase I have ever made for
my Bow!!!!!!!!!!!! I know 10 or maybe 20 people who have this rest, and "ZERO" problems, No pun intended![:D]

VS, there was a thread on Bowsite.com (The nat'l forum) a few weeks ago about finger-shooting the Zero Effect rest.
One guy said he ordered his directly from Muzzy. The way I understand it, they have a new hook or pick-up arm thing for finger shooters. It stays in contact with the arrow for the first couple of inches after the arrow is released, much like a Berger button.
Good Luck

The only problems I have found with any of the fall aways is that some of them are set at "dead center" of their peak height on some bows. This usually is even with the plunger hole and at times with the larger 4 and 5 inch vanes they may bump the arrow holding prongs or arm a bit at launch. This is due to the fact that the prongs, arm or cradles stick up higher on fall aways. A little powder on your rest will tell you if you are getting contact.
Given the fact that they are set up properly they offer superb arrow flight. You can also fletch 4 vanes and put a radical helical twist which is great for fixed blade heads.
