I just got one about 2 wks ago. Sighted it in Saturday and it seems to be fine. Its attached in 3 spots, I would think that would be enough. I shoot shorts out of mine so I don't get alot of shock anyway.

My son got one for his birthday (yeah, from me) and loves it. He picked up shooting the peep right away so we stuck with it until he just had to have a scope like my 22. I have to say he shot better with the peep than the scope. I got the factory base and have had no problems at all with it but I did install it with the blue (light) threadlocker. He shoots LR ammunition most of the time because thats what I buy and it seems pretty accurate. My favorite thing about it is the built in lock. He feels like a grownup shooting a bolt action but I can lock it with the push of a finger and the key stays with me at all times. I would definitely reccomend one.

My neighbor has one and he has a 3x9x40 BSA on his has no problem shooting birds with it from what I seen! He shoots shorts mostly. He said it liked them a little better for some reason.
