I'm a Bengals fan and I hope it backfires on Mike Brown. Mike is such an idiot. It wasn't Marvin Lewis's decision it was good ole' Mike Brown. Some things never change!!
I had my money on him playing for Lousiville this year. It's nice to see the guy get a 5th chance, he deserves it .

TJ and Chad are starting the season a little banged up. He (CH) is a deep threat and no one else fits that description. The Bengals do not use the tight end as a receiver they keep maximum protection with the tight end a single back. He also can out jump 98% of the D-backs in the league.
As long as he catches the ball. And keeps himself eligible. Who cares. This isn't high school any more. If they could go out and find someone better to fill the spot. Then that is what they would do. Obviously they do not have anyone on the current roster who can do the job better or they would not take the chance. You see it all the time in the NFL. And as bad as the Bengals roster is. The Cowboys still lead the league in felon players. And think even Jerry couldn't take any more of T.O's crap.

I am 100% Bengals fan and proud of it. Not proud of Mike Brown's decisions always, but that's neither here nor there. I am disappointed in the Bengal's performance with the talent they have on their roster. When I heard of Chris Henry being resigned I had mixed emotions. I was upset because it felt like the team was going back on their word to move forward on character issues. But then the thoughts of having the "triple threat" of Slim 15, Ocho, and Housh back together again sounded pretty good to me. Only problem is: Slim is suspended for 4 games, Ocho has a bum shoulder now, and Housh is fighting a hammy issue as well as his contract woes. On the upside, Ben Utecht brings something new to the offense in being a great receiving TE. Chris Perry will give us so much more than Rudi Johnson has been able to in the past couple years. Keith Rivers is going to be a huge gain in the LB corp -- once he gets completely comfortable, he's gonna rack up the tackles, brother! Overall, I am trying to be optimistic despite all the drama and injuries. I guess we'll see what happens. But I'll be completely honest with you -- if we could say goodbye to Mike Brown, Marvin Lewis, and Bob Bratkowski -- and hire a decent GM, head coach, and offensive coordinator, the Bengals might actually get back on track.

Coming from a Colts fan,............., ARE YOU SERIOUS? I can't place him as a great recieving TE or blocker or anything other than a sure miss for Palmer.

Don't know if you have watched any of the Bengals preseason games (not that they have been pretty), but Utecht has been one of our big strengths. I think a lot people sell him short.
