I am looking for a scope to put on my Encore 30-06 pistol. I am really trying not to spend $500. I have been looking at the 2x6 Bushell Elite 3200 series (price is right), but don't know anything about the scope. I have seen a few 3200 rifle scopes and they are OK, but just not sure about this scope holding up on this pistol.

Any replies would be appreciated.

Fine choice for the Encore.

How about a fixed M8-4x Leupold EER ? I have one on a Savage Striker and it works great. The cost is not bad either. ;)

I agree with CL on the fixed 4X. Unless you're gonna do some serious long range shooting/hunting, 4X is all the magnification you'll need. I'm not sure if its still available, but I used to have a Nikon 1.5-5X on an Encore that worked real well. As for brand, Leupold, Nikon and Burris all make quality handgun scopes that'll easily handle the recoil. You don't have to spend 500, but don't go cheap either.

Bushnell Elite 3200 and 4200 are good scopes, and bushnell stands behind them.
