I shot a doe with the 130's out of a .270. It cut through both shoulder blades & her spine at a hair over 200 yds. would highly reccomend.

Concur, killed a doe at 175 last year with a 120gr TSX out of a 7mm-08. Both shoulders and passed through and she fell in her tracks.

They're pricey but in my 7mm-08 they also deliver 1/2" groups. I haven't found the magic combo in my .257 Roberts but I'm optimistic, although it's delivering sub one inch right now. If you don't handload they're available factory in some of the Federal Premium loads. Really overkill for deer but they're so darn accurate I can't resist.

X bullets are fine bullets. They will almost always give you and entrance and exit hole. They are made out of pure copper, and have three rings cut around the base. When reloading, I find that they give the best accuracy when they are seated around 20 thousandths or so off the lands of the rifling.
Barnes has a new Max Range X bullet out that I have ordered ,but haven't tried yet. They have a polymer tip. They cost about 5 dollars more a box.

Don't be surprised to see more and more copper bullets. I've been hearing that the next front of the antis in the war on hunting is going after lead in the environment. I think there's got to be some truth to it as someone got lead banned from waterfowl hunting.
