460 Mag

I've got a BFR in 460 S&W mag. It is a tack driver, but at about $1.40 a shot the factory loads are too costly. I've been loading 300gr XTP over 38.5 grains of H110. This results are about 1850fps, stiff, but on the lighter side for this cal, but I still would go lighter if I could find data. I'm pleased with the accuracy, but XTP's are still about $.50 each. 45 colt brass with cast bullets aren't accurate at all (I think it is the long cylinder jump).

Reloading info is scarce, anybody have load using cast bullets with 460 brass??

Go to Hodgdon's website, they have an online load data base. I checked and they have several loads for cast bullets listed.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. All the reloading manuals I've seen in gun shops don't show it.
