A couple friends took me Striper fishing a Cumberland with a grate Guide Friday. All most got are limit and should have but lost a couple bites and broke off a couple times but for my first trip to cumberland I could not ask for more out of the trip or the guide. I end up catching my two one was 34'' 15 pounds the othere was 38'' 20 pounds. We end up with six keeper stripers and a cat.The smallest striper was 28'' and the biggest were both around 38'' and about 20 pounds each that we cought.

Nice fish. If you don't mind me asking how were you catching them?
Down riggers on the main lake 40-50 feet deep with live shad?

Mike, you need to be more specific.
I said that last year.
I did get to try it but I didn't specify that I also would like to catch something. :D

I fish for them a couple or 3 times a week here below Ky and Barkley, but most of them we catch here are in the 5 - 15 # range. Most of the time it's not to hard to get your limit though.

I beleave I could find the spot but can we get the bait and keep it alive long enough to catch them is another question. He said live bait late july and all of aug.is when you catch the big one's on the wright live bait. The guide fee was not bad for what we got with the cost of gas and all he did for us but I no some times its fun just to go out there on your own and try.Beleave me I am off next week and thought about it.
