Trapping ?

How do you keep the demestic dogs and cats from getting caught. Do you try to put it in secluded ares where they don't frequent?

Every trapper catches domestic animals from time to time. I mostly stay away from residential areas. I catch the occasional feral cat, almost always males even from remote areas. The landowners I trap on don't own loose dogs/cats so they don't care what happens to the pests.

I trap only on farms where I have permission and pull traps prior to weekend during small game season to avoid catching rabbit and quail dogs. I've caught both dogs and cats and it is unfortunate, but I keep my dogs in a pen and expect others to do the same. If my pets ran loose like many do, I wouldn't be suprised if they never returned home!!

the more house cats you catch the more quail there will be!!!! I keep my pets up in a lot!!!!!! sorry bout their carlesness!!

Caught 1 stray cat this year and it was as good a catch as if it had been a bobcat. Didn't even have to waste a bullet, it hung itself in a snare.
