Hey, how are you supposed to weigh the thing? Since there are no more deer check stations and I don't have a scale hanging in the barn, how will I know for sure. Maybe I can bench press it a couple times and get a close estimate.

I've got a scale that will weigh a deer. I'm going to video the weighing of the deer with a witness. That or a picture is what multi has in mind I think.

The only kicker is that some scales will differ by a pound or two but it's like multi said. It's for fun. Besides, some clown like rlb who is over run with deer will probably win it[:o)]

One of my buddies wanted some tender meat one year and shot a fawn.(he didn't realize how little it was or he wouldn't have shot it)
We kidded him that we played connect the dots on it. It was tasty at camp.[;)]

I took a friend of mine on his 1st hunt and he shot a fawn. When we got to the check station, some guys we were to meet asked where we had been, I told them we had to keep stopping and picking up by friend's deer, cause it kept blowing out of the truck.[:D]

We had a young fellow in an archery club I belong to that was having a heck of a time getting his first deer. At the annual awards banquet we gave him as a gag gift a bottle of spot remover to put in his pack.[}:)][:D]

Is there a deadline? Should be Sept. 21st. Otherwise, honor system or not someone will test it, and take the big one then get into the contest. Deadline's gotta be Sept 21st. Postmark by Sept 21st. I don't know if I'm gonna make it.

MrBowhunter, I think what was decided was that I had to have possession of your entry fee 48 hours prior to your telechek confirmation number being issued. I will post names of entrants as I receive them and then confirmation numbers will be checked on the winners to insure they meet the deadline requirements.

Keep in mind, these are going to be small prizes primarily for bragging rights, and we are operating on the honor system. Let's keep it fun and simple.

BTW, for those of you interested in entering...I will be leaving Oct 5th for two weeks of grouse hunting out of state, so no new entries will be posted from Oct. 5th thru Oct. 19th. Therefore, get me your entry fees by Oct 4th or don't shaft that big'un until after Oct 21st.

Good Luck!
