I am considering building a 25-30 acre impoundment that can be planted in millet and corn for flooding. I am thinking of leasing the blinds day to day. We harvested 330 ducks last year on a large beaver pond right next to where it would be. Would anyone possibly be interested?

It will be located about 35 miles west/southwest of Bowling Green. It will be bordered by Mudd River. The beaver pond I hunt adjacent to it is 200-250 acres under water and holds a huge amount of waterfowl year round. However, it is used a great deal for roosting, and the birds have no close food source. They will now. Blinds will be fully furnished and hold around 6-8 people. Even with the down seasons we have all had in Kentucky the past few years, this area continues to holds a large number of waterfowl year around due to the close proximity to the river, the WMA's on Peabody, and the large beaver pond next to it. But, like everywhere else, the migrators got here late. I checked on my blind on the beaver pond last weekend, and as I suspected, it had about 1000 mallard/woodducks and 200 geese all over it. Day late and a dollar short!!! I am building this to keep birds in the area. It should make the entire area even better and I would love to share it with other waterfowlers. If anyone wants to get a group of your buddies together and lease a blind for the day, let me know. I'll make it worth your time and money.

Have you checked into whether or not you will be required to have a commercial guide license? Not sure how they view that if you're running what amounts to day hunts and you're hunting the same place.

Just something that ran across my mind when I read your post.

Already on that. We are going to get them to protect ourselves. I appreciate your insight.

I want to know why I never got invited on any of these great hunts.[V]

A bad day hunting is better than a good day at work.

Sorry lab lover. I will make sure you get to go this fall. I did not realize you were interested. I'll make it up to you.

I have a farm on Green River near the area you refer to, may be interested in your place next year. What County are you in? How many blinds are you planning to hunt from?
