RED DOT for slugs????

has anyone tried using a red dot scope on their slug gun??? i just bought a barrel for my 835 with the integral scope base and thought about installing an aimpoint. what do you all think about this????

Yes, I've got a cheap Wal-Mart red dot mounted on my smoothbore 870, and it is a fine system that works well. I've got my gun sighted in for 50 yards.

i am thinking of getting an aimpoint micro..... i have used the aimpoint comp m2 with my m4 in the army. i love the parallax free aspect of it.
