I'm prob. gonna be moving to KY in a month or two and was wondering if I would be able to get a resident license for this year. Here in NV you have to wait 6 months after you move to get your license, 6 months after I move will put me into the spring and it would just suck if I couldnt hunt this year. Also any restrictions on hunting your own property? I'm moving onto only 4-5 acres but its surrounded by corn so I was thinking maybe deer and other game might walk through my place to get to it? Any help would be great Thanks

Doesn't look like you need one but not sure on how long you need to be a citizen.

According to the last hunting guide, you have to of made your permanent residence in Kentucky for 30 days prior to purchasing your license. So get your drivers license switched over as soon as you can, then in a month you will be good to go.

Thanks, as soon as I get there we'll take care of it.30 days is alot better than 6 months. Right now we're just trying to get escrow closed and all our garbage packed, that 30 days should get me some time to scout out the area, will be the first year I've missed dove season ever. I'd say it would be sad but I'll be a Ky res. and hopefully have many years of great hunting ahead of me.
