Ducks!

NorthEast Arkansas has millions of ducks right now. We hunted snows there this weekend and the ducks screwed us up several times. Any field with rice stubble and water was holding thousands of mallards and pintails, it was an amazing sight.

How did you do on the geese?

26 in two days. Ditch slipping is hard work but fun when the plan comes together. Had a ball!

Good to hear. We moved some grouse this weekend, most are still safe. Woodcock are passing back through, moved a bunch of them too. Had a good time myself.

Congrats on the hunt. There were mallards so thick in the rice over in MO last week you could hardly stick another in it. We saw several ducks on lake Barkley this afternoon but nothing like I was expecting to see.

How were the goose #'s down that way?

Every little water hole around Paducah is full of Canadas and/or ducks. Last weekend saw big flock drop in somewhere in the neighborhood of Bluegrass Downs. Yesterday afternoon all the big ponds along the I-24 and Hwy 60 were full.
