I dont know if very many of you guys know it but they have a Greenwing Day Duck and Goose Banding event every year at Sloughs wildlife management area near Henderson Ky every year and this years event is Sat.Feb 21.
It is held at the main office of Sloughs Wildlife managemet.
Event usally features:
Free cake/cookies and drinks for the kids and there chaperons.
They give away lots of good prizes to the kids.
Have some cool games for the kids to play.
The kids get to hold the birds while they are being banded and then turn them loose 1 By 1.
After the banding they take the kids and adults back through the refuge on wagons pulled behind tractors to veiw all the birds on the refuge.
If you can get your kid to this thing they will have a great time!
