Mrs Woke me up in the Middle of the Night :)

cuz the security light on the porch kept turning on
and she was afraid that the Boogeyman was outside
well sure enough it came on again a little later and when i looked out it was a danggum coyote standing darn near on my front porch this is where i feed my dog so as i rushed to get a rifle the darn thing took off with bowl and all now dont that beat all.. one of them metal bowls at that..

this is the first time i have seen one that close to the house they are becoming less and less fearful of us..

LOL how true Art you got some up close and personal experience that night..a night i am sure neither of us will ever forget...Poor Kenny a lost soul looking for directions.. all my fault

BTW i will take a pic of the buck sometime and send to you i am looking at him as we speak.. still amazes me just how far a deer can go on one lung esp when leaking oil as bad as he was..

Yeah, I'd love to see that beast. I would bet anything that I saw that deer on the hoof at some point before you put the smack down on him. I think that was in 97 and if memory serves me correctly, I saw several HUGE bucks that summer and early into the fall. As always, when my truck pulled through the gate, those deer probably ran straight for Dow.

I haven't been up to those parts in a few years. I miss that area (Hometown Pizza):D but it's hard to stay on a lease ran by dictatorship with questionable ethics.

Keep the rifle ready and close for when the yote decides to come back, but be sure you keep it close to you and not your wife, just in case you are having a dream and call out the wrong name:D

speaking of coyotes, i was standing at my grandparents sink looking out when i heard what i thought was a kid screaming, quickly realized it wasn't deer were running everywhere through the back yard.. finally saw 2 coyotes come blazing through.. went out with gun in hand, never could get a good shot
