You are allowed to bowfish for rough fish year round but you can only Gig rough fish from Fed to May ? and

persons may gig rough fish through the
ice any time the surface is frozen enought o stand on..." So when the waters froze and Feb thru May.......????

There are more regs out there that don't make a lot of sense, probably tied to the market hunting days.
