Big R here are a couple of pics of the lure that was given to me by a great uncle of mine who is now deceased. On the lip of the lure it reads "C.C.B.CO. GARRETT, IND." It also has a date of 9-27-20 stamped on it. if you can give me any info and/or price I would appreciate it very much.

Lab-Lover, I got some old Creek Chub lures that look similar to that.

The last time that I tried to find out anything about this lure was a few years back. I found a book at Barnes and Noble that had the lure priced at about $60. I was just wondering if that is an accurate price for this lure.

It is a Creek Chub 700 Pikie in Original Pike scale finish. From the looks of the pics and shape that its in I would say its worth about $10.00 or less.It has a lot of chipping and paint loss. When it comes to old lures, they arent really worth a mint unless they are in mint condition!

Wow, I am glad I found out. The book that I was looking in was way off! Oh well, it is still neat to have.

The book you are looking at is probably refering to mint and that is still too much for that color unless it is mint with mint box. There are some pikies that are very desirable and collectible but this color and condition is not one of them.Books are good reference tools but not always up to par with market price. It can go either way really, they can appraise to high or way to low, just depends on condition and color.

I am not really in to Sonics although there are a lot of people out there collecting them now.The Firetails will sell for around $5 in used shape but with the box and in mint shape they can go for 2 to 4 times that.
