Adorable, or "ritually unclean"?

Muslims in the Scottish district of Tayside are outraged by the appearance of a wide-eyed, 6-week-old puppy on postcards distributed by the local police force, according to the Daily Mail.
Postcards showing police dog-in-training Rebel, a German shepherd born in early December, are causing a furor among the region’s Muslims who believe dogs are "ritually unclean," the Daily Mail reports.
The cute cards were meant to notify locals of a new telephone number for non-emergency phone calls but instead have become a flashpoint for a clash of cultures. Shopkeepers are refusing to display the offending ad and a Dundee city councilor is calling for an investigation.
"My concern was that it's not welcomed by all communities, with the dog on the cards," said Dundee councilor Mohammed Asif, according to the report.
The Tayside police force said the police puppy, the force’s "newest recruit," was not intended to cause offense.
"His incredible worldwide popularity — he has attracted record visitor numbers to our Web site — led us to believe Rebel could play a starring role in the promotion of our non-emergency number," said a police spokesperson.

Yep, I'm really offended now that they think a puppy is unclean...I guess I'll have to take them to court of offending me about being offended by this cute little puppy..What did this cute puppy do to them, nothing. He's ( Puppy ) is the newest member of the Police force for the Scottish. Isn't that a crime to be offended by a Police Officer...Well here in the States that would be considered Terrorist Threatening of a Police Officer, Right?

There you go people we now have another way of getting rid of the Muslims here in the United States. Send out Post Cards with a whole bunch of Puppies on the card. If you want to know about unclean, hang out with an average muslim and you'll find out plenty. We decommissioned my ship and gave it to the Pakistan navy back in the late 80s. I was part of the crew that accompanied the Pakis on the cruise to Karachi and you wouldn't believe how bad those people stink. Then, we are 50 miles off the coast of Karachi, which lies on the Indian Ocean, and I swear you could smell the stinch of the city already. Yeah, let's talk about unclean.:rolleyes:

When show Iraqs my photos of my dogs they always ask "in the house?" I then explain that they are house broke. They always wrinkle there nose like I live in a barn. Works out for us, feed a dog an MRE at a OP and you got a friend for life, that will raise hell if a Iraqi comes walking up.

I had several(Muslims) that would show up for loads every night. They smelled so bad I'd tell them to wait in their truck and I'd bring them their paperwork.On several occasions, if it was warm enough that they would have the windows on their cabs down, I could smell them from inside the back of a 53' trailer. One of these guys in particular came in every 24 hrs. for a load and stayed on the road 6 days/week, the clothes he wore in on Sunday night were the same ones he had on every day that week through Sat. morning. I've never seen anything close to the poor personal hygene these boys practiced.............

It makes me wonder how you expect to be treated decently when you're being so offensive to people you meet by not taking care of yourself. These guys stopped at truck stops daily to fuel up, I don't guess the idea of a shower ever crossed their mind:rolleyes:. I don't really think its a cultural thing though, because a few of the same bunch that showed up reguarly would be in different clothes and cleaned up. I think its a matter of being a slob.........
