Nesting Hens in KY?

How many hens will stay and nest here? I know that there was at least one hen that did on my friends pond last spring and summer. Anybody seen or heard of any more staying here? Does anybody put out hen houses for the birds that do stay (not counting wood duck boxes)?

There are a couple pairs of mallards that stay and nest on the lake in our city park. I took my daughter ( 3 yrs old ) out there last summer and counted eight duckings.

I don't see alot of ducks raise here other than woodies. I will see a few mallards here and there but I do see several geese hang around and raise. Sometimes 2 or 3 pair on some ponds.

i would say the biggest answer to your question is weather
i feel if the weather is mild and they like what they find they will stay and raise their ducklings here...
