A new outdoor store called Kentucky Outdoorsmen will be coming this spring to Corbin, Kentucky. They are going to carry a huge selection of firearms, clothing, boots, archery, shooting, and everything else for outdoors. Hope to see you all there!

I'd like to invite everyone to come out to this store when it opens. The people behind this store are hunters, and they know the needs of a hunter. I've known them for a long time, and I garauntee you won't find better people. It will be a 1st class store ran by 1st class people, plain and simple. Come out and see them this spring, you will be glad you did.

Where in Corbin will it be located? I live in Harlan Co. near the Bell Col. line and go to corbin alot. I hope they stock alot of different stuff. Most stores around this area don't have that much of a variety.

The store will be located in the old Tri-County Cycle Sales building on the Old London Highway.

Our goal is to stock some things that no one around here has, naturally we are going to cross up one some things but we are going have things such as reloading equipment that is hard to find.

Well, if Nathan is going to be hanging out there I ain't goin'. LOL.
Hey Thomas, if you come up from 25E from Barbourville turn right on 25n, the old way to London, about 1 mile before you hit I-75. The store will be located on the left about 2 miles out right beside the new Honda Shop.
p.s. Hey Nathan, this is Matt Siler. Jon said you got a nice one this year.
Tyler, I will be going to talk with your dad Thursday or Friday. Do you all have any bow manufactures set up yet?

No, seriously, I was aiming there!

Matt, what do you mean you ain't goin? No hunting store is complete until you have a local pro hangin' around [:D] LOL.
Yeah, I did get a nice 8 this year. I'm going to have to put down that 7MMag, it makes for too short of a season! How did you do this year?

"No seriously, I was aiming there!".....is that what J.D. said after his infamous bowhunt?

Good to hear from ya Matt...get that turkey gear in order and gimme a shout. It wont be long...I know where a few are hanging out.

Went by today and talked with the owner, Steve, and was really impressed with his ideas. He is wanting to have a shop that not only sells you the equipment but will aid you in how to use it properly if needed. Should be a great place to check out great outdoor "stuff".

The problem I have had with the majority of outdoor shops, especially bow equipment, is the "In the door, out the door" philosophy. they sell you the stuff, usually too long of draw and too many pounds, and send you on your way. Steve is wanting a place that treats the consumer differently. Not really telling people what they should do or buy but kind of lend a helping hand in what might be the best choice for them. Sounds refreshing doesn't it?

I talked with him primarily about bow equipment but I am sure that he will be more than able to aid in gun enthusiast as well. A well know "gun guy" in the area has already signed on with Steve and will be an asset to the store and the consumers. I for one know nothing about guns and look forward to some helpful insight.

I think he said they are hoping to open in April, Tyler can correct me if I am mistaken.

Nathan, just give me a call anytime. I am more than willing to share some turkey spots. Mine is on public land but I mostly have it to myself. All I got this year was a 3 legged buck that had already lost it's antlers. Seen seven bucks but passed them all waiting on a biggun. Oh well, anything with a bow is a nice one.
